Ways to Volunteer

St. Joseph CYO is always looking for volunteers who can donate their time in any way possible. We would not be able to function without the time and energy of our amazing volunteers!

Head Coach: head coaches are responsible for running the team. Their responsibilities vary from sport to sport, but always require being available 2-3 times a week for practices and games. The head coach must have all clearances on file with the Parish Office and be signed off on once rosters are created.

Assistant Coach: the assistant coaches are repsonsible for supporting the head coach in any way that supports the team. Assistant coaches have less responsibilities, but are still required to be available 2-3 times per week for games/practices. Assistant coaches must have all clearances on file with the Parish Office and be signed off on once rosters are created.

Team Parent: team parents are parent volunteers that can not commit to the time requirements or do not have the knowledge of the sport to support in the same way that a coach does. Team parents are parent volunteers that only need to be available when one of the coaches has a conflict and can not make an event. The team parent's only responsibility is to be available to attend events so that we do not have to cancel due to a two cleared adults minimum at all events. Team parents must have all clearances on file with the Parish Office and be signed off on once rosters are created.

St Joseph Sport Commissioner: sports commissioners for St. Joseph are responsible for coordinating all coaches within a given sport. Sports Commissioners work closely with the AOP Sports Commissioners and the St Joseph CYO board to work on any scheduling, organization, or issues related to the specific sport.
